RIEGL will also be presenting “Using LiDAR Technology: Avalanche Documentation” on Thursday, October 8th, from 1 PM – 1:45 PM EST, hosted by Philipp Amon, RIEGL’s Manager ULS Business Division.
The numerous snowfalls at the beginning of 2019 in Austria triggered a series of avalanche events, which devastated the complete dining hall of a hotel in mid-January. With the help of a RIEGL UAV-based laser scanner, the team members were able to analyze and better understand how to assist and create preventive measures for future avalanches. Don’t miss this fascinating presentation and case study on the use of UAV-based LiDAR for avalanche documentation and prevention.
