RIEGL USA will be attending and presenting at the 21st Annual JALBTCX Airborne Coastal Mapping and Charting Workshop being held June 28 – July 1, 2022 at Hancock County Performing Arts Center in Kiln, Mississippi.
The JALBTCX Airborne Coastal Mapping and Charting Technical Workshop is comprised of three full days of presentations, break-out groups and discussion panels about the state-of-the-art in airborne coastal mapping and charting from government, academia and industry practitioners. The topics of airborne coastal mapping and charting sensor development, algorithm development, data fusion, topo and bathy lidar and much more are included.
A RIEGL presentation “Report on demo projects with the VQ-840-G compact bathymetric scanner around the globe” will be given by Dr. Martin Pfennigbauer on Wednesday, June 29, from 2:30PM – 3:30PM. This presentation will report on the results of tests and demo projects around the globe with RIEGL’s compact airborne laser bathymetry system the RIEGL VQ-840-G. Best-practice guidelines concerning the instrument parameters and flight configurations and the potential of postprocessing with different algorithms and waveform averaging will be discussed.
You can register yourself for the workshop here.
