GeoConnexion recently published an article featuring 95West Aerial Mapping and their use of RIEGL‘s VQ-1560 II-S airborne laser scanner to meet an increasing need for acquiring aerial imagery for more accurate elevation measurements and better object detection in poorly lit areas.

The RIEGL VQ-1560 II-S allowed the 95West team to map large stretches of land and cut down flight times. Using this equipment, 95West has been able to scan multiple county highway corridor projects and even several mining projects for use in long-term planning government reports.
