Powercor gets head start on vegetation inspection

Energy Source & Distribution recently published an article featuring RIEGL VUX-240 LiDAR Scanners fitted to helicopters conducting Powercor Inspection flights of vegetation in South-West Victoria, Australia.

Learn how this fleet of two helicopters equipped with RIEGL systems, being operated by the network’s affiliate business Beon Aerial Services, is using vegetation management as part of a larger bushfire mitigation program. These inspection flights are also being used to maintain the cutting and removal of trees for safe clearance spaces and the installation of safety technology on the network.
