LiDAR News published an article featuring RIEGL miniVUX-2UAV sensors fitted to mdLiDAR3000 UAV from Microdrones. DRMP has been utilizing this unmanned system for several purposes; including 3D scans of Florida State Road 538 for a widening project, Florida landfill expansion, and the creation of new roadway designs in Osceola County, FL.

“All of our terrestrial and mobile scanners are RIEGL, so we were drawn to the Microdrones system because we could equip it with the miniVUX-2UAV. We also liked that it was a complete solution….and the system was already set up with the RIEGL miniVUX sensors we use, and those are top of the line when it comes to LiDAR sensors.”
